More Know Your Neighbour Events taking Place than Ever
The 5th annual Know Your Neighbour Weekend is getting underway with more events than ever in communities across Ireland. The Macra na Feirme initiative, sponsored by ESB, encourages you to get to know your neighbours by organising an event in your community. The weekend officially takes place over the coming weekend, 24th and 25th July but events can be held anytime. MoreCheck out the video of the Know Your Neighbour Launch!
Know Your Neighbour was launched in ESB head office in Dublin on Wednesday 16th June. Miriam O’Callaghan from RTE chaired a discussion titled 'Neighbours – who cares?'.

Know Your Neighbour campaign gets off to a flying start
Many organisations are taking up the challenge of organising a 'Know Your Neighbour' activity, the nationally sponsored by ESB Customer Supply. The Irish Greyhound Board is one of the first out of the traps! In recognition of the tremendous work that Macra na Feirme has carried out over the last number of years in making this event the success that it has become, The Irish Greyhound Board are now offering complimentary admission to groups who wish to host their community night at a night at the dogs!
With stadia located nationwide - all details on venues and race nights are available on www.igb.ie or groups can call to book their night (for all your neighbours both young and old) at 1890 269 969.

It's good to know your neighbours!
The fifth Know Your Neighbour Weekend will take place this year over the weekend of July 24th and 25th, 2010.
Get to know your neighbours - if you don't know anybody living in your street, estate or apartment block do something to get together. It's good to know your neighbours! We can all become involved. Order your organiser's pack straight away and start planning for the weekend of July 24th and 25th.
You can apply for an organiser's pack containing printed posters, fliers, invitations and stickers by clicking on the 'get an organisers pack' or by text or phone.
